William performed in two concerts with Ludus Baroque last week: on Wednesday 6th August the ensemble gave an exceptional performance of Handel’s Athalia at St John’s Kirk in Perth, followed by JS Bach’s B Minor Mass at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe on Thursday 7th August.

William received fantastic reviews for both performances, with The Scotsman praising the ‘collectively distinctive’ solo team, highlighting William as an ‘agile baritone’ who was foremost among them. The performance also received a four star review from Bachtrack, stating that the soloists were ‘on top form’.

Finally, Herald Scotland published a glowing review of Bach’s B Minor Mass and the ‘stunning’ soloists, praising William for his ‘strong yet tender timbre in his solo arias’.
